Panic Attacks

hi, i was reading on here a while ago that some of you guys and girls suffer from panic attacks.

how common is this in the jws?

the wife had a bible study today and i was sort of listening looking for a discussion point.

Ive had panic attacks for 11 years.

( I studied for 6 years with the JW before they dumped me beacause of my agoraphobia, couldnt go out in FS)

You wifes dreams are probably more to do with her unconcious thoughts rather than panic.

If she is an anxious/nervy person anyway, maybe spend sometime with her having a chat to acertain if she is worried and stressed about anything that shes hasnt mentioned to you.

If she is studying, I can say from experience, the pressure will eventually push her over the edge as her every thought and action starts to become intertwined with the rules and regulations of the cult.

Make sure you have quality time to relax together, best wishes.

have been a member of jwr since 2008 and have not been to hall since june 2009, have celebrated 2 yrs without memorial - woohoo - that being said i have stopped by here frequently and decided yesterday to join your group.. it has been very enjoyable to read your stories as well as the other group i have been with, and so it just seemed reasonable to belong to both.. my story is no differant than all the others, the only thing is i was not born in.

that being said i also have no real issues with being an apostate (although i do believe it is used in the perjorative sense by the wt).. peace - brad.

the funeral was held today for my sister when every opportunity was used as a sales pitch to promote their malignant message, in this case to any non jw's that may be present, just like any other pyramid scam it seems.. the person whose funeral it is just has a minor bit part to play compared to the main feature , the promotion of the all encompassing multi-talented multi-tentacled wts that you can rely on to guide misguide and pervade every nook and cranny of your life including when to die.. and why not, because as gods only prophet to all mankind, they don't just hear gods voice, they are gods voice.. ***watchtower 1957 june 15 p.370*** "it is vital that we respond to the directions of the "slave" as we would to the voice of god.

I like Nuggets sugestion. Why not spend a day looking through photos, maybe light a candle for her....

The WTBTS are an absolute disgrace, they should be ashamed. Individuals dont matter one jot, its the collective power the GB holds as the "voice of Jehovah" that is and always will be, paramount.

ok this thread might get my ass kicked by some of you in here, but don't take it the wrong way...i'm just curious, why do we care so much about the wt calling us "mentally diseased"?

i mean haven't we said far worse things about the wt and gb in this forum?

(i include myself)...i know many of us got all bent out of shape because of those two words they used on us and some of us are trying to get the law on our side, but if we could file lawsuits against them, then i'm sure they can just as easily get their money back by accusing us of "hate speech" and having this website shut down.

i was thinking about how inefective the ministry really is, no matter how often one goes to a householder's door for years.. they just never bite the bate, yet the jw will keep going back.. jw's are clueless.

they need to know the signs the hhs give them.. it reminds me of that book he's just not that into you..

So, I took it that from that moment, she had dumped me.

However, Ive had 3 visits since then and didnt answer the door. I guess that they will keep coming back every so often because I could have changed my mind. Yeah, thats NEVER going to happen!

I am officially 'mentally diseased' by WBT$ standards!

last night whilst i was relaxing 2 elders came to my door to tell me i am officially da'd because of my 'actions'.

they weren't specific but i have been to church and telling others about the wbt$ scandals.. i was told they thought i was rude for ignoring their letters and not attending my jc.. my reply: 'you were the rude ones for sending me hounding letters when i specifically asked you never to contact me!'.

i got a 'hurumph' from the lead eldub.. i don't remember the whole conversation but they were annoyed i kept referring to the wbt$ as 'just a big business' but i told them they were on my property uninvited so they'd have to listen to my opinion and i don't have to listen to theirs.
